Space Education and Innovation

India Space Week is organized annually from August 12 to August 18 by the Bharat Antriksh Saptah. The purpose of this is to permanently establish Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (Great Space Scientist) in the hearts of the youth/students of our country, who established the first space science institute like ISRO in India. Keeping in mind his vision to promote 'Science and Innovation,' the aim of this Celebration is to foster scientific thinking in schools, colleges, and universities, as well as to create awareness and interest in space science among students and citizens. Students, teachers, and all citizens of the state are invited to participate.

During this week, The following activities will take place throughout the week: Space Awareness Initiatives, CanSat & CubeSat Programs in Engineering Colleges and IITs, Space Medical Programs at Medical Colleges, Space Economy Discussions at MBA Colleges, Technology Showcases at Engineering Colleges, Space Policy Discussions at Law Colleges, Space Fashion Show and Costume Programs Competitions: Drawing and Painting, Speech-Discussion, and Essay Writing, Azadi Ka Mahotsav in Amrit Kaal Celebrations, Interactions with Scientists. These programs are designed to enhance public understanding of space science. They will involve participation from students from schools and colleges, who will actively participate in various educational programs. These programs are designed to disseminate the latest information on space science and foster interest among students and the general public. ISRO and DRDO experienced scientists will conduct the educational Session, ensuring participants receive high-quality information and insights.

These efforts are aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of inspiring Indian citizens to contribute to the field of space science. India Space Week aims to foster a culture of innovation and exploration in space technology.
